DraftKings Donates $50,000 to Support DAV Transportation Network
21 September 2026
DraftKings, the Boston-based sports and gaming giant, has announced a $50,000 donation to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Transportation Network. The donation, made through DraftKings' social responsibility initiative, DraftKings SERVES, was revealed as part of the company's nationwide Gameday Fuel promotion on September 15.
The DAV Transportation Network provides free rides to and from VA medical facilities for ill and injured veterans. According to DAV, volunteer drivers across the country already provide over 230,000 rides each year through this program.
The donation will help more veterans access reliable transportation for critical medical appointments. "DraftKings SERVES is proud to support the DAV Transportation Network and the selfless volunteers who help veterans reach the care they need," said Sabrina Macias, DraftKings' senior vice president of communications and corporate social responsibility.
DraftKings describes itself as a leading digital sports and gaming company with platforms spanning sports betting, online casino, daily fantasy sports, digital lottery, prediction markets, and more. Its sportsbook is live in 30 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Alberta, and Ontario, while its daily fantasy sports platform operates in 44 states, Washington D.C., and certain Canadian provinces. Additionally, DraftKings owns Jackpocket, the leading digital lottery courier app in the U.S.

Company Donations: Sports and Gaming Giant Funds Veteran Transportation
The $50,000 donation from DraftKings, while part of a larger promotional campaign, stands alone for its targeted gift to an organization that ensures veterans can reliably reach medical care. According to DAV, volunteer drivers already provide over 230,000 rides annually through this initiative. The donation, supported by DraftKings SERVES, taps into a trend of companies using promotion-driven efforts to fund mobility programs for direct community impact.
DraftKings Gameday: How a Nationwide Promotion Drives Community Engagement
DraftKings rolled out its nationwide Gameday Fuel promotion in conjunction with the start of the football season, offering free gas to passenger vehicles at select stations. The $50,000 donation to the DAV Transportation Network was only one piece of this larger promotional puzzle. Through this campaign, DraftKings underscores its focus on community through its DraftKings SERVES program, while also engaging with customers around major sports events.
Digital Gaming and CSR: How DraftKings SERVES Builds Community around Gaming Events
The $50,000 donation to DAV from the Boston-headquartered sports and gaming company DraftKings marks an effort to connect revenue-generating events to broader community interests. The donation, part of the company's DraftKings SERVES corporate social responsibility initiative, demonstrates a growing strategy among digital gaming companies to build customer engagement around both gaming content and community philanthropy. For DraftKings, the concept of DraftKings SERVES highlights ways an organization can link its major promotional event hooks - in this case sports betting engagement - to real-world societal initiatives.
