Editorial policy

How the desk decides what to publish, how it handles sources, and where money is disclosed.

Sourcing

We prefer primary documents: regulator rules, airline tariffs and conditions of carriage, manufacturer specifications, official statistics. Where a claim comes from an operator's own marketing, we say so. Numbers that we could not verify do not go in.

Evergreen by design

We write pieces meant to hold for a season or a year, not for a day. When rules change — a baggage allowance, a refund regulation, a fleet decision — we update the piece and note the change.

Photography

Photographs are real images from free archives, credited to their authors with the licence shown in the caption. We do not present illustrations as documentary photographs.

Money

Paid links are marked sponsored. Contributed features are labelled as contributed. Nothing that is paid for is presented as the desk's own reporting.

The archive

Pages inherited with this domain are kept online, unedited in substance, and carry a notice explaining what they are. We do not pretend they are ours, and we do not delete them to tidy the site.
