In Built to Amaze, circus performers from across the globe create the perfect blend of athleticism and bravery, where power meets fearlessness and amazement has no bounds. Magnificent elephants, ferocious tigers, astonishing acrobats and awe-inspiring aerialists are engineered into one spectacular performance.
But there's much more to Built to Amaze than meets the eye. Be sure to check out these amazing (pun intended) performers at US Airways Center from June 26 - July 1.
Only at The Greatest Show On Earth® can you see the impossible become possible, and Francleib Rodrigues, better known as "Flabson," is a prime example as he walks upside-down, high above the arena floor without a safety net or harness. Using only loops to support his feet as he suspends inverted above the audience, Francleib frolics, spins and skips from one end of the truss to the other.
Making their American debut, the Tower Tumblers is an act comprised of professionally trained, champion athletes hailing from sport universities throughout the Ukraine with disciplines in gymnastics, fast-track and trampoline. The troupe founder, an Olympian in trampoline, had the creative idea to combine powerful acrobatics, two trampolines and a 12 foot tower. Once the act elements were created and routine planned, each troupe member learned the chorography at their own pace so they could master this combination of perfected timing, calculated strength and precision control. The troupe uses the trampolines as spring boards to catapult their bodies in a whimsical but harmonized, freestyle aerial tumble where they dive over, around and even through the translucent, three-story high tower.
Joining Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® for the first time, Robert Stipka presents an amazing display of synchronized horses that unites powerful yet elegant Fjord, Friesian and Arab horses in a mesmerizing living carousel.
Seen for the first time in America, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Built To Amaze! SM Duo Solys executes a never-before-seen hand-balancing routine that incorporates Cuban and French culture.
The world's most charismatic animal trainer, Tabayara Maluenda is a crowd favorite. He has a remarkable ability to communicate and bond with horses, tigers and Asian elephants, alike. It's a mutual admiration felt in every performance.
Troupe Leader Mustafa Danguir, whose dream is to cross the Seven Wonders of the World on the high-wire, also holds many high-wire world records. He crossed the Santiago Bernabéu soccer stadium in Madrid, Spain. He kicked off a high-wire bike tour in Benidorm, Spain, that started from the top of the Gran Hotel Bali Benidorm and ended at the top of the Church of St. James.
