Bruno Mars and Selena Gomez, two of the biggest stars in the world, will be making stops at US Airways Center in 2013 and both performed their hit songs at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
To no one's surprise, Bruno Mars kicked off the show with one of his amazing, trademark performances.
Mars delighted the crowd with an R&B/Disco/Pop version of "Treasure" from his Unorthodox Jukebox album which, to date, has sold over 1.3 million copies in the US alone.
Even better news for Mars, sales are expected to increase during the singer's "Moonshine Jungle World Tour" (making a stop in Phoenix on July 31).
At the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Mars was nominated in four categories – Male Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, and Top Radio Song and Top Pop Song of the Year for “Locked Out of Heaven."
Selena Gomez, a world-wide, multi-platinum-selling singer and actress, will also be touring the globe later this year.
Gomez will embark on a 56-city world tour in support of her highly anticipated summer album, Stars Dance. Like Mars, Gomez was on hand at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday both to perform and present an award.
The 20-year-old entertainer performed her hit new song “Come & Get It,” which recently made it into the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
